Idries Shah has collected in Tales Dervishes the most beautiful stories of the Sufi tradition. This book takes us to the caravanserais and chaikhanas (teahouses) of the Middle East and Central Asia where the dervishes, "seekers of truth", meet and exchange their stories. Tales, stories, parables, these texts, which have several levels of meaning, in turn amaze us, amuse us, awaken us.
