The first work that reveals to the French public, with courage, intelligence and rigor, the obscure continent of the situation of young people in Iran, this book constitutes an event. After several decades of Islamist rule, what are, in terms of education, the effects of the revolution on its 30 million children who have "freedom" as their first word on their lips? Mahnaz Shirali, sociologist, born and raised in Iran, has gathered a great deal of material to carry out her investigation. From observations made on the lives of young Tehranese, from three different social groups, she sought to understand how the social wounds of all kinds that the regime continues to inflict on them (physical violence, deprivation of rights, to dignity ...) provoke negative emotional reactions (anger, shame, indignation, distress, bitterness, self-contempt) and lead to the appearance of the spirit of resistance in the consciousness of young people.
